Our
1st Annual Red Ribbon Week blood drive is fast approaching. We can all look
forward to another opportunity to positively affect our community through the
education on the dangers of drugs, while increasing the supply of blood to our
local area hospitals. Your support and cooperation are an integral part in the
success of both events.

On Tuesday,
September 9, 2008, FCDAC, Inc. will observe
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum
Disorder (FASD) Awareness Day.
It is on the 9th
minute of the 9th hour of the 9th day of the 9th
month of the year, that women around world are reminded that during the 9 months
of pregnancy they should abstain from alcohol.
Studies
by leading developmental and behavioral resources have shown
alcohol

the developing fetus.
Ringing the Courthouse Bells:
FCDAC, Inc. invites you to join us on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 as we,
along with other social service agencies in the county will observe FASD
Awareness Day by ringing the courthouse bells. The bell ringing at

hand to cover the event to help bring into perspective the need for
expectant mothers to understand the importance of remaining alcohol free
during their 9 month term.
