The Intervention
Unit works toward the elimination of impaired drivers and the harm they
cause. This is done through education as an attempt to keep these individuals from
receiving further legal offenses that may require treatment.
Services include:

Court Reporting Network (CRN)
evaluations
-
Alcohol Highway Safety (AHS)
Education class (1st time offenders)

Multiple Offender Program
(2nd and subsequent offenders)

*Referral to treatment for
their DUI as mandated by the Pennsylvania DUI Law.
*The DUI program will
refer those mandated, by law or by choice, for a case management assessment
to determine an appropriate level of care.

Please note, the Court of Common Pleas,
recommendations most likely will include: participation in an approved
alcohol highway safety school and following all CRN requirements.
CRN evaluations may be scheduled by appointment:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and
Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Wednesday evenings till 9pm.
AHS Weekday classes are held once a
month:
Monday - Friday 9am to 11:30am
AHS Evening classes are held 5
consecutive Wednesday evenings 6pm to 8:30pm.

Additional Intervention
(if indicated)
DUI Group Intervention is designated for the offender that has completed AHS
education and requires a higher level of group intensity. Intervention Group is
held on four consecutive Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30pm.
Multiple Offender Program
is designed for those offenders who have more than one DUI. MOP is scheduled on
designated weekends; Friday evenings 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday
8:00 am to 12:00 pm. MOP class is held in Connellsville.
