DUI/Intervention

The DUI Unit offers services for those offenders who have been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or other (prescription, over the counter or illegal) substances that may impair the driving ability.

Pennsylvania has set .08% Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) as the legal limit for DUI convictions.

Costs: Effective July 1, 2007

Based upon Pennsylvania's DUI Law and 3 Tiered Sentencing Guide
Those services include:
•  COURT REPORTING NETWORK EVALUATION (CRN)$75.00
State required evaluation mandated for each DUI offense.
•  ALCOHOL HIGHWAY SAFETY CLASS$250.00
12 ½ hour educational modality for first time offenders using Pennsylvania's state approved curriculum.
Available as a one week day class offered once a month from 9-11:30am or five Wednesday evenings 6-8:30 pm.
•  DUI ASSESSMENT$100.00
Depending upon type of insurance coverage
•  INTERVENTION GROUP$250.00

A 12 ½ hour treatment oriented Group for those who have had more than one DUI. Held on weekends: Friday 6-10pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am-12:30.
For some, the DUI incident was a temporary lapse in judgement; for others, DUI can be the tip of the iceberg.  The DUI Program is equipped to identify, assess, and intervene to engage DUI offenders into ongoing services, including referral to addiction treatment.
