OCTOBER 8, 2008: Problem gambling for beginners Presented by: jodi bechtold, lcsw, ncgc-1 Participants will learn about problem and pathological gambling, the history of gambling in the United States and its current status. This course is designed for clinicians in professional settings who are or will be exposed to problem and pathological gambling as a single or co-occurring condition. At the end of the course, participants should be able to : Discuss history of legalized gambling in the United States Discuss history & development of problem and pathological gambling field; with PA emphasis Identify criteria for DSM-IV TR Pathological Gambling Identify social, problem and pathological gamblers & the use of screens & assessment tools Identify stages, signs, & symptoms & progression of problem gambling FCDAC, Inc. in cooperation with Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus are offering these on-campus training workshops.
