DUTIES
The Drug and Alcohol Treatment Specialist is responsible for providing individual, group and family counseling for a population of adult, adolescent, and criminal justice clients in an outpatient setting. The Treatment Specialist develops and implements an individualized plan of D&A treatment for clients participating in traditional outpatient services. The Treatment Specialist may also be responsible for assessing clients seeking D&A services and then determining the most appropriate level of care. The Treatment Specialist is responsible for all aspects of drug and alcohol treatment record keeping as required by the agency, the licensing agents, as well as third party Payers. One evening until 7:00pm per week is required

REQUIREMENTS
Strong interpersonal skills and strengths in the areas of organization and documentation are required. Applicants must be able to work independently with minimal supervision with a wide variety of clientele. Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1 year of clinical experience in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting. Experience and training preferred.
