FCDAC provides community-based prevention programs, trainings, campaigns, and resources that help strengthen families, support youth, promote healthier choices, and connect Fayette County residents with practical prevention education.

1-Hour Presentation

Power of Parents (PoP)

MADD’s Power of Parents® program empowers parents of middle school and high school students to have ongoing, intentional conversations about the dangers and consequences of underage drinking and other drug use.
Seven 2.5-Hour Sessions

Strengthening Families Program 10-14

The Strengthening Families Program for Parents and Youth 10–14 (SFP 10–14) is a universal, evidence-based prevention program. The program consists of seven highly interactive sessions over seven weeks. Sessions begin with a family meal, followed by separate one-hour sessions for adults and youth, with families coming together for the final hour to share what they learned.

Mock Teen Bedroom

The Mock Teen Bedroom is an interactive one hour presentation designed to walk participants through current drug trends, methods of disguising paraphernalia and promotes adult communication and supervision while fostering a positive environment. This program is commonly paired with our Current Drug Trends presentation for professionals who work with youth.
30-Minute Presentation

Why Animals Don't Smoke (WADS)

Why Animals Don’t Smoke is a 30 minute presentation utilizing puppets to demonstrate the various science-backed reasons for choosing to be smoke and vape free.
6-Hour Training

Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA)

YMHFA introduces common mental health challenges affecting youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a five-step action plan for helping young people in crisis and non-crisis situations. Topics include anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders (including ADHD), and eating disorders.
1-Hour Training

Social Development Strategy (SDS)

The Social Development Strategy provides adults with the knowledge on what protects young people from developing health and behavior problems into an easy-to-use strategy that can be easily put to action in families, schools and communities.

Small Games of Chance Workshops

FCDAC partners with the Pennsylvania State Police Liquor Control Enforcement to provide Small Games of Chance workshops for community members and organizations.
Tobacco Cessation Program

Freedom From Smoking

Freedom From Smoking is a tobacco cessation program from the American Lung Association for people who are ready to quit tobacco.
